MDL granted F4OR status
MDL has achieved the coveted Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) status.
The F4OR program, delivered by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, is designed to support UK businesses in improving their competitiveness and positioning within the offshore renewable energy supply chain.
Achieving F4OR status indicates that MDL has met rigorous industry standards and is fully equipped to deliver high-quality products and services for offshore renewable projects.
The rigorous evaluation process assessed various aspects of the business, including health and safety standards, environmental sustainability practices, project management capabilities and financial stability.
It also tested the company’s applicability to the renewable energy market, identifying its strengths and opportunities in progressing the energy transition through enabling green power generation.
With F4OR status, MDL is now vetted as a trusted supplier within the offshore renewable energy sector, offering viable solutions to the market and opening up new opportunities for collaboration and sustainable innovation.
Davood Sabaei, Supply Chain Programme Manager, Development & Operations, ORE Catapult said:
“We are pleased to offer hearty congratulations to the Maritime Developments Limited team on achieving granted status for Fit for Offshore Renewables (F4OR), our rigorous business improvement programme tailored specifically for supply chain companies engaged in the offshore renewable energy sector.
“The MDL team has worked steadily with our team of expert advisors to secure granted status which demonstrates that a company has built the robust skills, processes, leadership and sector specific capacity to bid for work in this important, expanding market.”
Andrew Blaquiere, MDL Managing Director, said:
"Gaining the Fit 4 Offshore Renewables status is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. This recognition not only validates our in-house capabilities in addressing challenges ‘in the water column’ but also reinforces our commitment to driving innovation and excellence for a sustainable energy transition.
“This achievement reflects MDL's unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental stewardship in its operations; but it also underpins our mission statement: to solve challenges faced by our customers.
“Indeed, we continue to support our customers in the traditional energy market, many of whom are either diversifying their businesses or actively pursuing net-zero targets. And so, we look forward to leveraging this status to further support them in achieving these goals, using our proven technology combined with our out-of-the-box thinking ."
