Carousels

MDL carousels are large, engineered storage and handling systems for long, flexible products such as cables, mooring lines, umbilicals and flexible pipelines. Various internal partitions mean the carousels can store multiple lengths of product simultaneously.

Onshore, our carousels act as buffer storage, enabling rapid mobilisation and demobilisation directly from the quayside to the vessel, making project operations more efficient, cost-effective and streamlined. The MDL product loading tower, complete with an integrated tensioner, guides and protects the product during loading and unloading.

Offshore, MDL carousels also support the controlled deployment or recovery of flexible products of differing diameters across multiple sectors, including SURF and cable lay, renewables and decommissioning.

The carousels, loading tower and tensioner are road transportable or can be shipped in 40ft open-top containers and flat racks.
