MDL Connect brings live video, equipment data and MDL technical support into one digital environment, giving offshore and onshore teams a shared view of operations as they happen.
Built on proven technology already deployed across MDL operations and designed around the realities of offshore execution, the real-time digital platform combines three connected capabilities - live monitoring, equipment data and performance insight, and remote specialist support - in one integrated ecosystem.
At the centre is the MDL Control Room, where experienced engineers and technical specialists can access live project information, support decision-making and provide technical guidance when it is needed most.

MDL Connect creates a secure link between offshore assets and authorised users onshore, bringing live video, equipment data and operator interfaces into a shared view - in real time.
Project teams, operators and technical experts can work from the same information, supporting faster decisions and providing clearer oversight throughout the scope.
The self-contained connection can operate independently of vessel networks, extending access to live project information in remote offshore environments.

The Vision module enables a live view of offshore activity through multi-camera streaming, as well as instant playback functionality thanks to the secure archive of recorded footage.
This shared visual record provides a comprehensive picture of offshore activity, to support remote witnessing and project assurance, operational reviews and client reporting, for greater transparency over activity as it unfolds and a reliable reference after the event.

The Stream module transforms equipment data into clear insights, allowing onshore teams to monitor critical operating parameters alongside the offshore activity. Live alerts highlight changes that require immediate action, while historical data supports trend analysis and performance monitoring.
By combining equipment telemetry with operational visibility, MDL Connect provides the insight needed to support faster decision-making based on real-time information and measurable performance.
Expert support on demand
The Assist module enables instant access to MDL expertise through assisted reality technology. Using AR headsets, offshore personnel can connect directly with onshore experts through live two-way audio and video – allowing them to see equipment, inspections or maintenance activity from the technician's point of view and provide guidance in real time.
This can accelerate troubleshooting and reduce the need to mobilise additional specialist personnel offshore. The sessions can also be recorded to support training, competence development and operational assurance.
Full asset lifecycle oversight
MDL Connect works alongside our CMMS, MDL Pulse, to integrate live operational insight with longer-term asset performance and maintenance management.
Operational data collected through MDL Connect can inform maintenance planning, performance tracking and long-term asset assurance.
Together, they provide a more joined-up view of equipment performance: MDL Connect supports visibility and expert input during operations, while MDL Pulse manages maintenance requirements, work orders and asset records across the lifecycle.
