Maritime Developments at Subsea Expo 2014
Maritime Developments will highlight its latest products and innovations at Subsea Expo in Aberdeen (February 5-7, 2014)
More than 5,000 delegates and around 170 companies will be exhibiting at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The UK generates £8.9bn in subsea-related business - around 45% of the global market.
Maritime Developments will be on Stand 29 - one of the largest at the event. The company has enjoyed substantial growth in the UK and abroad as demand for its products has grown. The business introduced an innovative tensioner to the market and is to launch its lightweight vertical lay system (VLS) at the Expo.
Derek Smith, Chief Executive Officer at Maritime Developments, said: “Subsea Expo is an integral part of our business development and we expect this one to be even more successful. Last year we established new relationships as well as underlining our credentials – and the capabilities of our full suite of back-deck products – to existing clients.”
Maritime Developments has also launched a new equipment hire division. A 400-tonne reel drive system is currently being commissioned to join the Flexlay equipment fleet. The hire fleet will include a 50-tonne radius chute, powerpacks and a small crane with a 50-tonne 4-track tensioner targeted for the market in Q2-2014. Maritime Developments can also provide personnel as well as equipment for projects.
