MDL AME delivers maintenance and training package for APAC
The Asset Maintenance & Engineering (AME) division has delivered a package of support to a client in Malaysia on their pipelay asset.
The package covered provision of on-site personnel and onshore engineering support to carry out an audit and operation and maintenance training on a 4-track tensioner.
For this scope, MDL Engineering created a work pack detailing audit and training requirements. Upon completion, the MDL Asset Team prepared an inspection report, specifying current condition.
The on-site training was delivered to the client’s new field service team, and covered squeeze settings, master track function, pump settings, load cell orientation for correct reading and calibration, and hydraulic valve controller settings and calibration.
The client personnel received certification documents upon completion of the training.
Shaun Cooper, MDL AME Business Development Manager, said:
“This project reflects MDL’s global support to our clients. Our multi-skilled team can travel to any location in the world to provide maintenance and engineering services – tailored to the client, so that it addresses their individual needs, such as personnel training.
“As mechanical handling equipment experts, we are keen to share our knowledge and experience with asset owners on land and offshore, not just in the energy sector.”
