New appointment sets foothold in Brazil
MDL has opened a new office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, reflecting the company’s solid commitment to the South American market.
Heading the new entity is Yuri Mendes Martins who has been appointed VP of Brazil. He will be responsible for growing the local recognition of MDL’s complete offering across, innovation, equipment design, repairs and upgrades, as well as nurturing client relationships and fostering successful partnerships to bring challenging projects online.
Yuri brings with him a wealth of Engineering and Business Development expertise from his previous roles at InterMoor where he worked in various positions for over 13 years. He commented on his appointment:
“I am extremely pleased to be joining MDL as VP of Brazil at this exciting time of growth. My primary focus will be to expand the local client base and build on the outstanding work MDL has done in this market to date.
“I believe that MDL’s in-house design and engineering capability paired with its uniquely tailored approach will be an absolute game-changer for the market and I am excited to bring this to the Brazilian clients and to see them succeed.”
