Maritime Developments appoints Commercial Director

Maritime Developments has appointed an experienced Commercial Director as part of its strategy for growth in 2012 and beyond.

Mike Gaskin previously held a senior management role with an international energy engineering and services business and has more than 19 years’ experience in the oil, gas and renewable industries.

He brings a wealth of expertise to Maritime Developments as the business looks to continue its growth by securing further contracts for its services and solutions.

Mike Gaskin, Commercial Director at Maritime Developments, said: “I’m delighted to be joining a business that has developed a first-class reputation for the design, manufacture and delivery of back-deck equipment.

“There is tremendous scope for Maritime Developments to grow further both in the UK and internationally. The company has developed excellent partnerships with larger businesses and will continue to do this.

“We are also developing innovative products to enhance operations and safety, in particular in the deployment and retrieval of subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) for the oil and gas sector and cables for the renewables sector.

“The level of interest shown in our design, engineering capability and services has been extremely encouraging as we look to move forward.”

Mike’s first day at work was on the company’s All Energy exhibition stand, where products and services were highlighted to interested parties in the renewables sector, as well as the oil and gas industry.
