Helping local charities make magic this Christmas
With Christmas just around the corner, Maritime Developments is supporting local initiatives to ensure it truly is a magical time for all.
In November, One Team MDL was among 600 guests at the Charlie House Big Build Ball. The children’s charity’s annual event aims to raise sufficient funds to enable the build of a dedicated support centre in the North-east of Scotland. This year’s event, held at Aberdeen’s P&J Live, raised over £190,000 through a variety of fundraising activities on the night – including the Silent Auction, sponsored by MDL.
Alongside the Big Build Ball, MDL championed the Giving Tree Appeal run by the charity Instant Neighbour. The initiative aims to ensure that no child in Aberdeen City and Shire is left without a present at Christmas. In 2021 the charity distributed 13,000 gifts to children in the North East and this year MDL is one of the organisations taking part in the donations. Both the teams in Peterhead and Westhill were busy picking out presents for the children on their gift tags which were then delivered to the charity in time for their sorting and wrapping efforts at the start of December.
